Maryland School Report Card

In December of 2018, The Maryland State Department of Education released the new Maryland Report Card website containing performance data for every school in the State, including schools in Wicomico County.

Through this accountability system, elementary and middle schools are evaluated and ranked in the following categories: academic achievement, academic progress, progress in achieving English language proficiency, and measures of school quality and student success.

For high schools, the system includes academic achievement, graduation rate, progress in English language proficiency, readiness for postsecondary success, and measures of school quality and student success. Star ratings will continue to be released annually for each intermediate, middle, and high school in our system. Maryland’s new School Report Card system allows all stakeholders an opportunity to better understand how our schools are performing.

The School Report Cards can be found on the new Maryland Report Card website, as well as more information and data about schools and districts. This information can be found at: MdReportCard.org

The information currently available on Maryland Report Card website reflects the 2019 performance data and ratings. Each school's performance data on the 2022 spring assessments will be released in January 2023, with individual score reports released to families. The new Star Ratings are expected to be published in March 2023.
