Room 32

Students in Ms. Williams’ class have been exploring different types of energy. Today, focusing solely on heat energy. Students transformed an ordinary pizza box into a solar oven using materials such as tin foil, black construction paper, and plastic wrap. Over time, they observed how the sun’s heat could warm and melt ingredients like cookies, marshmallows, and chocolate—creating s’mores!

Through this experiment, students also learned a cool fact: The Sun, our closest star, is the source of the heat energy that made their solar oven work.
